• Provides an introduction to the principles and operation of circuit-switched telephony as used in the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). Fundamental issues that are also relevant to Voice over IP services are discussed.

  Macintosh: Mac OS X, Mac OS 9.2 – Acrobat Reader 4.0 and above
• Internet connection (broadband recommended.)
• To access the course, a PC should be running a browser such as Internet Explorer 6 or above, Firefox 2 or above, Google Chrome or Safari is required. The PC should be running Flash version 8 or above.
• A screen resolution of at least 1024×768 is necessary.
